Appointment Policy

At Dental Land Pediatrics, we understand our parents and patients have busy schedules! We strive to ensure that your children are seen on time for their scheduled appointment, and as a courtesy to us and other patients, we ask that you arrive on time for your appointments. We realize that unexpected things can happen but we ask for your assistance so that we can provide the same quality experience for everyone. Dental appointments are an excused absence from school and we will be happy to provide your child with an excuse note to take back to school.

When a patient cancel’s without giving enough notice, they prevent another child from being seen. The scheduled appointment is reserved specifically for your child. Any change in this appointment affects many patients. If a cancellation is unavoidable, please call the office at least 24 hours in advance so that we may give that time to another patient. If prior notification (email, text, voicemail) is not given, or received after business hours, your account will be charged a fee for the missed appointment.

We realize that your time is important and we strive to see all patients on time for their scheduled appointment. There are times when our schedule is delayed in order to accommodate an injured child or an emergency. Please accept our apology in advance should this occur during your appointment. We will do the exact same if your child is in need of emergency treatment.

Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes or more before your scheduled appointment. This will allow time to complete any additional/necessary paperwork and see your child on time.

If you arrive after your scheduled appointment time, you may be asked to reschedule for the next available appointment time and charged a $50.00 missed appointment fee for preventative/maintenance appointments and $100 for treatment appointments. This charge is not covered by insurance and is the patient's responsibility. The missed appointment fee must be paid prior to scheduling future office visits.

New patients with a missed appointment without 24-hour notice will not be rescheduled.

We do understand there are times when 24-hour notice is not possible. Emergency cancellations will be evaluated on an individual basis.

We reserve the right to limit scheduling of any subsequent appointments or dismiss a patient from our practice due to excessive missed appointments.

Appointment confirmations are done via text message, phone calls, appointment cards, and emails. If you do not wish to receive confirmations by a certain method, you have the option to opt out.
